Cookie Policy
Effective date: 23 July 2026 · Last updated: 23 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Gnosis Limited ('Gnosis', 'we', 'us') uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website (gnosis.ltd) and our web application (app.gnosis.ltd). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
In short: the app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and secure — no advertising or analytics cookies run inside the app. The marketing site uses a small number of analytics and advertising technologies, which you can control.
Section 1 — What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let a site remember things between page loads and visits — for example, that you are signed in. "Similar technologies" include tracking pixels, local storage, and analytics scripts that perform a comparable function. We group what we use into three categories: strictly necessary, analytics, and advertising.
Section 2 — Cookies inside the app (app.gnosis.ltd)
The app uses strictly necessary cookies only. These cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality, so they do not require consent.
| Cookie / item | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session token | Keeps you signed in to your account | Session / until sign-out | Strictly necessary |
| CSRF token | Protects against cross-site request forgery on form submissions | Session | Strictly necessary |
| Workspace context | Remembers which workspace you are viewing | Session | Strictly necessary |
| Sidebar state | Remembers whether the navigation rail is expanded or collapsed | ~1 year | Strictly necessary (preference) |
No analytics or advertising cookies run inside the app. The app is ad-free, and we do not track your in-app behaviour for advertising.
Section 3 — Cookies and analytics on the marketing site (gnosis.ltd)
The public marketing site uses the following. None of these run inside the app.
Analytics
- Google Analytics 4 (via gtag.js) — measures page views and traffic sources. Sets cookies such as
_gaand_ga_<id>. - Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across sites.
Advertising
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our advertising and attributes sign-ups from Meta campaigns. Sets cookies such as
_fbp.
| Cookie / tech | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_<id> | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguish visitors, measure traffic | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
| (cookieless) | Plausible | Aggregate visit counts, no personal data | None — no cookie set | Analytics |
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Advertising attribution | Up to 3 months | Advertising |
We do not use Google Tag Manager, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any data-broker or retargeting network beyond the above.
Section 4 — Managing and opting out
- Browser controls — most browsers let you block or delete cookies via their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the app from working.
- Google Analytics — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
- Meta Pixel — adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook settings or use your browser's cookie controls.
- Plausible — no action needed; it sets no cookies and collects no personal data.
Because Plausible is our primary, privacy-first analytics tool, you can browse gnosis.ltd with all optional cookies blocked and we will still get the anonymous, aggregate traffic counts we need — with zero impact on you.
Section 5 — "Do Not Track"
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry-agreed standard for responding to DNT, so we do not currently respond to it. Our privacy-first analytics posture (Plausible as primary, no cookies) is designed to respect your privacy regardless of DNT.
Section 6 — Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools change. When we add or remove a cookie or a provider, we will update the table above and the "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting advertising or analytics providers will also be reflected in our Privacy Policy.
