  1. The July 2026 pricing work counted 14.5 to 27.5 hours a month per contract across six workstreams: claims cycle 5 to 10, communications 3 to 5, variations and extensions of time 2 to 4, schedule of rates upkeep 2 to 4, statutory clocks 1 to 2, reporting 1.5 to 2.5. The default is the middle of that range.
  2. NZ$120 an hour is the July 2026 figure; the August 2026 assessment used NZ$145. Both came from published New Zealand quantity surveyor and contract administrator rates.
  3. The sample contract on this site, a NZ$4,556,150 civil job, runs monthly claims of about NZ$400,000.
  4. The August 2026 assessment found Firm pays for itself at about 33 minutes per contract per month at NZ$145 an hour, and Practice at about 40 minutes.
